The Republic of Crimea and Nicaragua will cooperate. Action plan signed

The government of Nicaragua and the Republic of Crimea signed an action plan in the field of trade and economic cooperation for 2024-2026. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
This is a great event for our republic and Russia as a whole. Cooperation in the trade and economic sphere with Latin American countries is one of the main policy priorities of our country. We are confident that this cooperation will develop on a mutually beneficial basis,” the press service quotes Irina Kiviko.
The Crimean delegation included Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov and Head of the Yalta Administration Yanina Pavlenko.
According to Irina Kiviko, she noted that during the signing, the special representative of the President of Nicaragua for the development of relations with Russia, Laureano Ortega, noted the importance of strengthening ties between Nicaragua and the regions of Russia.
There is interest in Crimea, we are negotiating cooperation in various areas: trade, investment, industry, agriculture, transport and tourism. An action plan has been agreed that will lay the foundation for strengthening cooperation between Nicaragua and Crimea“, she emphasized.
Reference: In July 2021, the Ministry of Production and Trade of the Republic of Nicaragua and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea signed an Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The agreement is aimed at expanding and strengthening cooperation between Crimea and Nicaragua in the trade and economic sphere.
The agreement opens up the opportunity for mutually beneficial supplies of products and tourism development. We are talking about supplies of rum, meat, coffee, fruit, cigars, cocoa, sugar, fish, shellfish and crustaceans, wheat, and metallurgical products. Crimean business is showing great interest in supplying wheat to Nicaragua and some other countries.
