The Republic of Crimea took 5th place in the National Investment Rating at the end of the year

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Crimea retains its status as one of the most investment-attractive Russian regions. At the end of the year, the republic took 5th place in the National Ranking of the Investment Climate in the Subjects of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.

Sergey Aksyonov emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Crimea has done a great job, including introducing elements of a regional investment standard and creating favorable conditions for the development of investment activity.

More than 1,400 investment projects are being implemented. Over 10 years, more than 1.7 trillion rubles of investment in fixed capital have been attracted to the economy, including 1 trillion rubles of extra-budgetary investments— informed the Head of Crimea.

The head of the republic expressed confidence that Crimea will continue to occupy a leading position in the ranking, which has been compiled by the ANO “Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects” since 2014 on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. It is calculated based on 70 indicators in four areas: the regulatory environment, business institutions, infrastructure and resources, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

REFERENCE. The national investment climate rating evaluates the efforts of regional authorities to create favorable business conditions and identifies best practices, and its results stimulate competition in the fight for investments at the regional level. The presentation of the rating results took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The top three included: Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Moscow region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Tyumen region.
