The results of public discussions on the new route network were announced in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

At a staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the results of public discussions on the new route network were presented. The first proposals were shown to the public in March of this year.

Currently only minor improvements to the new route network are required and it is not a revolutionary scheme. The developers of the city’s master plan claim that we are unlikely to be able to cope in the future without transfer hubs, transportation to transfer points and routes within the city. Let’s see how the elements of this system will be implemented. We will launch the scheme on January 1 and see how it works– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Solutions for the new route network are aimed at avoiding duplicate routes, reducing the load on the road network and creating conditions under which the carrying capacity of public transport will increase.

The main change is the transition of suburban routes to city routes, that is, a single fare.

We will have a single city fee. Today I signed an order according to which the tariff service will develop a unified tariff. Throughout the greater Sevastopol area there will be one price, regardless of whether a person is traveling from Andreevka or any other locality,” the governor emphasized.

Previously, it was planned to cancel routes No. 14, 92, 94, 107, 109, 112. After all the discussions, the decision was made to keep them. However, five routes will be canceled and one will be transferred to a non-regulated fare.

We plan to increase transport capacity by 5% by reducing the number of route vehicles by 28 units. This will provide additional seats for 12.5 thousand passengers per day, – notes the director of the department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure Stanislav Tamataev.

To ensure accessibility of transport for residents of Kombrig Potapova Street and Kamyshovaya Highway, route No. 98 “Mayak 1 — 5th km of Balaklava Highway” will appear.

It is also proposed to convert trolleybus routes No. 11 and 11A into bus routes.

We propose a transition to service by buses, because within 5 km — Depot No. 2 there is no contact network, and trolleybuses move at low speed in autonomous mode. Switching to buses will increase speed and improve convenience for passengers,” emphasizes Stanislav Tamataev.

Bus route No. 17 “village. Kalfa — village Dergachi» is also planned to be cancelled, but for the street. Gorpishchenko trolleybus route No. 17 will remain. The connection between Zhidilov – Dergachi – Gorpishchenko will be provided by route No. 1, on which the number of trips will increase.

Since bus route No. 20 is completely duplicated by a similar trolleybus route, we plan to cancel it. At the same time, the number of trips on the trolleybus route will be increasedexplained the director of the transport department.

Statistics show that on average only four to five passengers use route No. 34 from Kamyshovaya Bay to Balaklava. Therefore, it is planned to be cancelled. In addition, it repeats routes No. 9 and No. 23, and the travel time is 1.5 hours one way. As compensation, a free transfer will be organized at the 5th kilometer.

It is in demand exclusively during the summer season; if the need arises, we can organize it at an unregulated tariffsaid Stanislav Tamataev.

Route No. 44 is not very busy, so it is also planned to be cancelled. Routes No. 2 and No. 400, which go in the same directions, will fully provide transport services for residents of the Streletskaya Bay area.

Until the completion of repair work on Kapitanskaya Street and Cape Khrustalny, route No. 113 “pl. Rebels — pl. Nakhimov across the street. Kapitanskaya, st. Soviet». After the completion of the complex at Cape Khrustalny, the route will be resumed.

Number of flights on route No. 36 «pl. Zakharova — village Kacha» will be increased, and thereby the waiting interval for the bus will decrease. Bus route No. 137 «pl. Ushakova — village. Kacha» is planned to be transferred to an unregulated tariff; it will be used by those who do not want to transfer to a boatnotes the director of the department.

Now the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development continues to receive requests from residents with wishes for organizing a route network, which are studied by specialists and taken into account when drawing up the organization of the future route network.
