Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy in Russia. In 2023, 2,629.6 million rubles were allocated to create infrastructure and increase the availability of recreation for Crimeans within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry,” of which 2,615.6 million rubles were spent in Crimea. or 99.5%.

The single subsidy was aimed at developing beaches, purchasing tourist equipment and equipment, holding events and updating the tourist code of city centers.

Grant support for projects for the development of domestic tourism in the Republic of Crimea was received by 18 projects for the implementation of public initiatives aimed at developing tourism infrastructure, in the form of interbudgetary transfers (beaches and national tourist routes) totaling about 151 million rubles. This measure made it possible to support the region’s tourism industry and help it develop even faster.

To provide support to 2,735 business entities, financing in the amount of 2,082.3 million rubles was provided. Thus, four minimum wages have been provided for each employee to maintain employment and prevent the cessation of activities under conditions of geopolitical and sanctions pressure.

November 2023 presented a completely new format of autumn leisure for guests of the peninsula and residents of Crimea — the enogastronomic weekend “Novemberfest”. As part of the past weeks of gastronomy, everyone was able to attend free excursions to the wineries of the republic, where all participants got acquainted with the history and culture of winemaking in Crimea in an accessible and informative way, and also got acquainted with the routes of the “Crimean Wine Road”.

In the city of Alupka, a comprehensive development of the tourist code is being implemented. Work is underway to install benches, illuminate facades and navigation, paving elements, general archetypes and signs in the same style — everything that creates comfort, aura and atmosphere of the historical center, for which people travel thousands of kilometers to Alupka. And along the entire well-known city tourist route “Little Jerusalem” in the city of Evpatoria, digital terminals will appear, a video surveillance system will be installed, car and bicycle parking will be organized, and buildings will be equipped with architectural lighting, taking into account the general concept of the route.
