The results of the patriotic action “Victory Landing” were announced in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The closing ceremony of the patriotic action “Victory Landing” took place at the Volunteer Support Resource Center, in which 100 fighters of Russian student groups took part. Throughout the week, the participants of the action put memorial places in order.
As part of the “Victory Landing” campaign, one of the key patriotic actions of student groups, the guys beautified five monuments to the Great Patriotic War, in total removed about 100 kilograms of garbage, trimmed trees and cleared blocked passages at the South and North forts. What’s noteworthy is that this year the guys also helped the families of special military operation fighters: two families received targeted assistance from student detachment members— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the youth affairs department Marina Slonchenko.
For the families of the special operation participants, RSO fighters mowed the grass, cleaned the plots and chopped firewood.
Student fighters never stand on the sidelines. During the pandemic, we helped deliver groceries to elderly people and helped medical workers in hospitals. Now there is a big request for help for participants and families of participants in a special military operation. We are already carrying out this work and, of course, will continue. RSO fighters are those people who care,” notes Denis Kondratyev, deputy chairman of the regional Public Chamber, founder of the Sevastopol student teams.
As part of the trips, the guys also created books in memory of the detachments, in which they talked about their relatives who took part in the Great Patriotic War, made films about memorable places in Sevastopol: the memorial complex “35th Coastal Battery”, Malakhov Kurgan, the Monument to the Glory of the 2nd Guards army, the Memorial in honor of the heroes of the second defense of Sevastopol and the museum “Underground Sevastopol”.
Let us remind you that “Victory Landing” is the winning project of the competition of social projects in Sevastopol; it was also included in our city’s application for the “Region of Good Deeds” competition.
