CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Koktebel, the results of the summer session of the plein air «Cimmerian Seasons» were summed up, organized by the Guild of Artists and Craftsmen of the Cimmerian Land with the support of the Historical and Cultural Memorial Museum-Reserve «Cimmeria M.A. Voloshin».
Sixteen artists from different regions of the country took part in the plein air. The painters visited the viewing platforms and landmarks of the peninsula with their sketchbooks and canvases. The project participants created over one hundred and fifty sketches and graphic drawings, including portraits and landscapes. In the City Library named after S. Pivovarov, the artists took part in the patriotic action «Family and Motherland are One» to create portraits of family members of SVO participants. During the plein air, author meetings, an exchange of experience in conducting project activities, and creative workshops took place. One of the highlights of the project was a meeting with the honored master of folk art and craft of the Republic of Crimea Edem Ganiev— the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea notes.
Following the plein air, a vernissage was held in the M. A. Voloshin House-Museum. The plein air artists also took part in the interactive art space Literary and Artistic Living Room «Visiting the Poet», where, in the tradition of the host, they read poems, painted portraits, and shared impressions of Crimea and Koktebel.
Vera Chekanova, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, donated her painting “The Poet’s House” to the M. A. Voloshin House-Museum.
Following the results of the plein air year, in November, the Literary and Art Museum of the city of Stary Krym will host an exhibition of paintings, where the best works of artists painted this year will be presented.
