The results of the “These are our heroes!” competition are being summed up in Sevastopol.

Today in the Central City Children’s Library named after. A.P. Gaidar was awarded the winners of the third competition of creative works “These are our heroes!”, which took place within the framework of the civil-patriotic project “Little Heroes of the Big Country” with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The project was carried out by the Centralized Library System for Children, the regional public organization “Sevastopol City Council of Women” and with the support of the Department of Culture of Sevastopol.

The goal of the project is the patriotic education of children using examples of the exploits of child heroes from different historical periods, involving them in creative and research activities. The main event of the project is the competition of creative works “These are our heroes!”, which is held in four historical periods: children-heroes of our time, pioneer-heroes, children-heroes of the Crimean War and Ancient Rus’. The best works will be used to create a historical board game— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy director of the Centralized Library System for Children, Marina Butskikh.

The third competition presents children’s creative works in the following categories: drawings, presentations, video works and questions dedicated to children — heroes of the Crimean War.

The library received many creative works from young participants who reflected their vision of the heroes and their exploits. Each work is unique and deserves special attention. We are proud that our youth show interest in the history and heroic heritage of our countrysays Director of the Department of Culture Angela Sumakova.

The winners of the competition were 24 children, each of whom received a diploma, a board game on the history of Russia and a mug with the project logo.
