In Yalta, two residents of the region were sentenced to imprisonment for a robbery against a microcredit organization.
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Yalta supported the state prosecution against two residents of the region. They were found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery), and one of them under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (purchase, storage of narcotic drugs without the purpose of sale)— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
The court found that in August last year two men entered the premises where the microcredit organization was located and attacked an employee. Threatening with a knife, they demanded to hand over the funds in the company’s cash register. Having stolen 9 thousand rubles, the attackers fled.
The men were promptly detained by internal affairs officers.
In addition, one of the convicts, using the Internet, purchased the narcotic drug N-methylephedrone for personal use.,” the supervisory agency clarified.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the men to 3 years and 8 months (for one) and 5 years (for the second) of imprisonment. They will serve their sentences in general and strict regime correctional colonies. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
