The Russian government intends to extend the maternity capital program until 2030

The maternity capital program has proven its effectiveness, and therefore will be extended until the end of the decade, until 2030. Acting President announced this in the State Duma on May 10. He emphasized that it is important in the country to improve the existing tools for helping families, as well as to increase the targeting of this assistance, paying special attention to families with many children, which is what the government intends to do.

The Prime Minister noted that the maternity capital program is currently operating in Russia in a very convenient form — appropriate financial assistance is provided upon the birth of a child, without the participation of citizens. Mishustin added that in total there are already about 40 federal support measures in force in this format. By the end of 2024, all federal support measures will be provided automatically, “without collecting documents and certificates,” he noted.
