The Russian Government promises a program for restoring the Crimean coastline
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A program for restoring the coastline after the 2023 storm in the Republic of Crimea will be developed by the Russian Government. This is reported by TASS.
On November 27, 2023, a powerful storm hit southern Russia. Hurricane-force winds and precipitation led to flooding, power outages and traffic problems. In Crimea, the total amount of damage caused to infrastructure amounted to about 68 billion rubles.
To completely eliminate the consequences of the emergency, the issue of comprehensive restoration of the coastline of the Crimean coast is being considered. The Government of the Russian Federation is considering the information provided by the Republic of Crimea with the aim of an integrated approach and determining a program for the restoration of bank protection structures,” noted the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea.
It is clarified that the embankments in Crimea were partially repaired for the summer season, after which the authorities will carry out more complex work. Earlier, the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported that about 8.3 billion rubles were allocated to the Republic of Crimea from the federal budget for the repair of embankments and bank protection structures damaged by the storm.
