The Russian government will provide Crimea with support in restoring damaged infrastructure

The head of the Republic of Crimea said that Crimeans will be provided with federal support to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.

Yesterday I reported to President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin about the situation in Crimea. The President instructed the Government of the Russian Federation to analyze the amount of damage caused to infrastructure requiring federal assistance. We are required to generate all the necessary documentation, agreed upon with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as soon as possible– the press service quotes the Head of Crimea.

In addition, Sergei Aksyonov said that the republic’s deputy corps will conduct a tour of populated areas in the most affected areas to find out what kind of help people need in terms of garbage collection.

According to the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Donets, 132 thousand people remain without water supply. The most difficult situation has developed in the Saki, Simferopol, Krasnogvardeisky and Belogorsky districts.

Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Voronkin informed that 181 teams are involved in restoration work.

Commenting on the results of the meeting of the operational headquarters, Sergei Aksyonov said that currently 93 thousand people are without power supply. Of the 125 boiler houses that were de-energized, operation has been restored to 52.

Elimination of the consequences continues. The restoration of electricity and heat supply is at a good pace, which will allow the work to be completed by the end of the day– notes the Head of Crimea.

Separately, Sergei Aksyonov focused on the issue of restoring the embankments of coastal cities.

The Ministry of Housing Policy and State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Crimea together with municipalities will determine the amount of damage. Structures on the embankments, including major ones, were damaged, and some were carried out to sea. I am confident that we will be able to restore everything, including thanks to the support of the federal center by decision of the President, – emphasizes the Head of Crimea.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk, Deputy Prime Ministers of the Government of the Republic of Crimea, Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea Arkady Ozhigin, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Sadakliev, heads of municipal administrations, and representatives of departments.
