The Russian State Duma has adopted a law to protect people from scammers

Deputies of the State Duma adopted a law to protect people from scammers forced to take loans. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
The law was supported by deputies unanimously— quotes RIA Novosti Crimea Chairman of the State Duma.
Citizens, especially pensioners, under various pretexts are forced to take an impressive amount of money on credit. By deception and abuse of trust, people convince people to translate or transfer them to the criminals, Volodin recalled.
To protect citizens is introduced:
- Cooling period «When issuing a loan, during which financial transactions will not be carried out: 4 hours — for amounts from 50 to 200 thousand rubles; 48 hours — for amounts from 200 thousand rubles;
- It is assigned to credit and microfinance organizations the obligation to carry out additional verification measures for fraud during operations and transactions;
- The ban on the recovery of payments under a loan agreement from the borrower is established if the creditor did not have established verification measures, as a result of which a criminal case was instituted on theft of funds.
