The Russian Union of Tourism Industry calculated: in June, children's camps in Crimea were 50% loaded
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Children’s camps in Crimea are 50% loaded. And this, alas, is the trend of June. In the Krasnodar Territory, there is a decrease in demand up to 40% compared to last year. About it reported reported in the press service of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) with reference to the head of the RST commission on children’s recreation and active tourism Tatyana Ivanova.
The load of children’s camps in the Crimea is now 50%, some of them will not open this summer. There is a drop in demand for commercial tours, especially among residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the same time, the Ministry of Education plans to partially fill the camps with children from Sevastopol and other regions of Crimea. In addition, Crimean camps will accept children from new regions of Russia, as well as preferential categories of children.the message says.
Some camps on the peninsula have switched to accepting adults for social protection, and some will open for guests only with the start of the third shift on July 15. Ivanova stressed that the situation with children’s camps in the Crimea is not unique — facilities in the Krasnodar Territory this year are also underutilized, there is a decrease in demand by 30-40%.
Despite the closure of the airport on the peninsula, tourists can take advantage of road and rail links, as well as bus tours. According to Olga Sanaeva, Vice-President of the PCT, the quality of roadside infrastructure has improved on the peninsula. Now work is underway to ensure that auto communication through the Crimean bridge is faster and more comfortable for travelers, added to the PCT.
