The “Save the Forest” campaign has ended in Crimea: almost a thousand trees and shrubs have been planted

The All-Russian action “Save the Forest” has ended in Crimea. On the territory of the forest fund and municipalities of the Republic of Crimea, 35 events were held and more than 950 thousand seedlings and saplings were planted on a total area of 289.4 hectares.
Among the planted tree and shrub species: Crimean pine, ash-leaved maple, common ash, pedunculate oak, angustifolia oleaster, three-spined honey locust, Cossack juniper. More than 2,500 people contributed to the greening of the peninsula — top officials of the republic, representatives of government and local governments, employees of forestry institutions, volunteers, public figures, members of school forestries and local residents— reported the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea.
In total, as part of the regional project “Forest Conservation”, green spaces were planted in Crimea on a total area of 295 hectares.
The regional project “Forest Conservation” is aimed at preserving forest resources in order to provide a comfortable and safe environment for the country’s residents. During the implementation of the project, such events as “Save the Forest” and “Memory Garden” were held. All work within the project was completed in accordance with the schedule.
The Ministry of Natural Resources of Crimea expresses gratitude to all participants.
