The School of Nursing program is being implemented in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
As part of the School of Care project, a meeting was held between social workers and citizens caring for elderly relatives and the disabled with a specialist from the Medical Information and Analytical Center. Doctor Anna Malenko gave a lecture on the topic “Care for the Elderly with Eye Diseases”. The «School of Care» works within the framework of the regional project «Older Generation» of the national project «Demography». According to Anna Malenko, social work is the interaction of a social worker and a recipient of social services under certain social conditions. A social worker must be a qualified specialist in his field and have a number of moral qualities that testify to his humanity. In other words, a trusting relationship should develop between the social worker and his client.
The relationship of trust between a social worker and a recipient of social services is most like friendship, it is a form of interpersonal relationship. Friendship, however, presupposes the equality of the parties, while the relationship between a social worker and a recipient of social services is not equal. Trusting a social worker, a person is convinced that he will be helped in solving his problems— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the rules for providing assistance to visually impaired people, their adaptation in everyday life, and active leisure.
Citizens caring for the elderly or disabled can sign up for classes at the School of Nursing by calling +7 (8692) 55-06-96.
