The search and landing group «KRYM-SPAS» rescued a SUP boarder who was carried away into the open sea

Today, at about 15:00, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information that in the Leninsky District, near the village of Yakovenkovo, a man on a SUP board was being carried out to sea by a strong wind. The information came from eyewitnesses. «KRYM-SPAS» came to the rescue… by helicopter.
A helicopter of the Simferopol unit of the Southern Aviation and Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was sent from Simferopol for the rescue with two paratroopers of the rescue search and landing group of the Simferopol emergency rescue squad of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «KRYM-SPAS». At the same time, the duty shift of the Leninsky emergency rescue squad was sent to the coast to ensure safety.the emergency department reported.
The victim was found on the sea surface, about 1.5 km from the shoreline. Using the helicopter’s standard descent and recovery device, the victim was evacuated from the water surface to the helicopter and taken to shore.
