Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the investigation into the criminal case initiated into the unknown disappearance of a 23-year-old resident of Yevpatoria continues. The day before, two men were detained on suspicion of committing the murder of a girl — a 29-year-old resident of the Saki district and a 26-year-old resident of Evpatoria, both working in one of the Evpatoria shopping centers— reported in Sledkom.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”).

Investigators and forensic investigators of the Investigative Committee, in close cooperation with the regional criminal investigation unit and the «Lisa Alert Crimea» search team, carried out significant work in the shortest possible time to explore the territories of several districts at once: the girl’s social circle was established, the routes of her movement and her acquaintances were studied. recordings from street surveillance cameras; with the help of forensic technology, the residences of the missing woman and two possible suspects were examined. As a result, information was received about the involvement of her acquaintances in the disappearance of a resident of Yevpatoria, who had previously come to the attention of law enforcement agencies.

A competent interrogation tactic was chosen, as a result of which one of the men confessed. The crime was committed in a house in the Krasnoperekopsky district. During the conflict, the girl was strangled.

As part of checking evidence on the spot, the suspect told how he committed the murder, and also pointed to the place where the body was hidden. Currently, investigators and operational officers are working closely with the detainees in order to establish in detail the circumstances of the crime committed and its motives.investigators said.

The investigation is preparing to charge the defendants with committing murder as part of a group of people and go to court with a petition to choose a preventive measure for them.
