CrimeaPRESS reports:

A criminal case of murder in Armyansk, committed in 2014, has been sent to court.

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a resident of Armyansk, accused of murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases established that on the night of February 4, 2014, a 35-year-old resident of Armyansk in his apartment during the celebration of a family anniversary became jealous of his cohabitant and his 40-year-old friend and stabbed him in the chest with a kitchen knife. The victim died on the spot from his wound, and the attacker escaped from law enforcement agencies.— reported in Sledkom.

Investigators and forensic investigators, together with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as part of systematic work to uncover and investigate crimes of past years, established all the circumstances of the commission of a serious crime, as well as the location of the person involved in the territory of another state. He is put on the international wanted list and has been charged in absentia with murder.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea approved the indictment. The criminal case was sent to the Armenian City Court for consideration in absentia.
