The selection of guides and tour guides for participation in the International exhibition-forum «Russia» has started

The competitive selection of guides and tour guides from the regions to work at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia» has started — the largest event that will open energetic, creative and truly inspiring tour guides from different parts of our country. The event will take place at VDNKh in Moscow. The involvement of guides to work at the exhibition was supported by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Applications are accepted for website of the Rosmolodezh program «More than a trip».

According to Tourist portal of Crimeaspecialists over the age of 22 can take part in the exhibition: professional guides, guide-interpreters, museum employees, self-employed authors of excursions, animators and presenters from event agencies, senior students of universities and colleges in areas related to tourism and hospitality, excursion and museum business, local history, foreign languages, acting skills.

Competitive selection will take place in two directions: «Moscow and the Moscow Region» and «Regions». Participants from the regions will be paid for travel, accommodation and meals in the capital.

2 thousand people will pass the initial assessment. An educational program awaits them, as a result of which they will receive a badge with the opportunity to attend the entire event program of the exhibition, a state-issued certificate “Excursion activity at major congress and exhibition events” and the title of guide of the largest international exhibition-forum.

Selected and trained guides will conduct excursions at the venues of the event for official delegations and children’s groups. They will also be involved in work in the pavilions of the exhibition, the flagship guest center, information centers of VDNKh.

The exhibition will be held from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024. Every day, about 600 excursions will be held on the territory of VDNKh, said Natalia Virtuozova, General Director of the ANO Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements Rossiya.

In April 2024, 15 best specialists will be determined who worked at the exhibition-forum in the following categories: «Best Tour Guide», «Best Interpreter Guide», «Best Inclusive Guide», «Best Children’s Guide». There are also special nominations from the partners of the competition.
