The semi-final of the “Flagships of Education” competition has started in Sevastopol

The “Flagships of Education” project of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” was created to find and support the most talented and motivated managers in the field of education, teaching staff with the prospect of entering the personnel reserve of the federal and regional education systems of Russia.

The competition provides an opportunity to test your abilities in three areas: project skills, state educational policy, leadership and mentoring, as well as demonstrate communication, creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.

In Sevastopol, 170 teachers and managers of educational organizations in the city took part in the qualifying stage. The participants underwent an “Educational Marathon”, which allowed them to further develop the competencies and knowledge of the participants, as well as a remote comprehensive assessment of the level of supra-professional competencies and professional knowledge. The contestants completed tasks in the participant’s personal account, based on the results of which a rating was compiled and a list of semi-finalists was formed. From our region, it included 16 people who scored the highest number of points.

And about. Director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol Maxim Krivonos noted that about 100 thousand people across the country showed interest in this competition and took part in remote tests.

Identifying highly motivated workers in the field of education allows us to form a personnel reserve. The number of applications received for the competition from the region proves that this project is interesting and in demand among employees of the Sevastopol education system. Competitive tests allow you to fully demonstrate the experience of the participant, his strengths: self-presentation is the ability to behave in public, the ability to work in a team, the talent to unite like-minded people around oneself, strong specialists — these are the skills that a leader needs. This competition is, first of all, a challenge to yourself. For us, the 16 people who reached the semi-finals, declared themselves, are already personnel with whom we will interact, whose professional experience is in demand both for the development of the education system of our city and the country as a whole,” Maxim Krivonos addressed the participants.

Over the course of two days, at the Institute for Educational Development in Sevastopol, educational managers and teachers who score the most points in the distance round will have to pass competitive tests. This includes a personal speech on the topic “I am the flagship of education” with a presentation of my professional and personal profile, and solving competitive tasks in a team, and defending a project.

The winners of the regional semi-final will be three participants who will represent Sevastopol at the final in Moscow. The final tests will take place in November. Participants in the competition will have the opportunity to express themselves, test their knowledge, improve their qualifications, undergo educational programs, and enter the personnel reserve of the education system of the Russian Federation and Sevastopol.
