The semifinals of the VIII Open Electric Championship IEK was held in Sevastopol

In 2025, about 200 electricians from 20 regions, seven federal districts of the Russian Federation competed for the opportunity to get to competitions in Sevastopol. For the high title of winner in the competence “Electrician”, 15 participants compete, five of them are students of the Sevastopol College of Information Technologies and Industry and the Naval College of SevU.

The semi -final is a significant event for our city, especially for the development of a personnel training system in such a demanded profession. For our students, this is an opportunity to gain unique experience, improve their qualifications, exchange experience and get acquainted with representatives of leading employers of our city. This championship, like any other, is held so that the guys can hone their skills, show their level, and learn from professionals. Be sure to have employers at such championships who can further offer the children a job, or provide a place for practice. College students are practiced not only on the basis of their institutions, in workshops, but also on the basis of enterprises. The organizer and sponsor of the electrician championship is IEK. The winners will go to the final, which will be held on May 20 in Kazan. Two people will go from the category of working specialists, and one person from the category of juniors (students)Said Anton Ulyantsev, First Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol.

The profession «Electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment (in industries)» is included in the list of the TOP-50 of the most popular professions according to the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation.

In Sevastopol, young personnel are preparing three institutions of vocational education: college of information technology and industry, Marine College of Sevastopol State University and Shipbuilding College

There are several stages in the championship: first there is a remote selection, that is, electricians who want to participate in the championship, first undergo testing, which was developed by the Moscow Energy Institute. In the qualifying stage there were theoretical tasks, as well as practical, the decision of which participants of the sending committee. The semi-finalists were 15 people, 10 people-practitioners, with work experience for more than two years, the remaining five applicants are college students.

The expert jury includes representatives of the colleges of Sevastopol — masters of industrial training and teachers, colleagues from the Krasnodar Territory.

The total prize fund of the championship is 3 million rubles, but if we are talking about the semifinals, in it the winner in the main age group will receive 50 thousand rubles, in the junior-30 thousand rubles, at the final stage of the prizes are about 200 thousand rublesSaid Petr Nekrasov, head of the department for work with the expert community and educational institutions of IEK.

The organizers plan to send children to international level championships. Peter Nekrasov also said that the championship is becoming international: residents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will participate in the final.

In the semifinals, the participants perform two tasks: the first module is programming, during which it is necessary to but write a management program for a smart home, which should ensure not only ease of operation, but most importantly high energy efficiency. The second module is the creation of an electrical installation, which includes elements of both the household power supply system and industrial: the lighting, energy supply, electric drive — all that is at modern enterprises and in our dwellings— said the chief expert of the championship Andrei Mochalkin.

Recall that in 2024 in Sevastopol, the VII open championship IEK was first held in Sevastopol. On one site, not only private electrical installers participated, but also senior students — 15 contestants in the overall standings.
