The sentence came into force for the Crimean citizen who tried to blow up Sergei Aksenov’s car

According to investigators, in December 2022, the defendant agreed to an offer from an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine to cooperate against the Russian Federation. From December 2022 to April 2023, he arrived in the city of Zaporozhye, Zaporozhye region, where he learned how to handle explosives. He trained to install it on a car and safely leave the place, and also acquired the skills of conspiracy, surveillance, visual observation and changing appearance, which he used to spy on the car of the head of Crimea. To blow up Aksenov’s car, the defendant received the coordinates of the cache, from which he extracted explosives, after which he was detained by law enforcement officers.
Cases were opened against Korchinsky under Part 1 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 205 (attempted terrorist attack), Art. 205.3 (training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities), paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Art. 222.1 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation of explosives) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in prison, the first four years in prison with a fine of 350 thousand rubles.
