In the children’s model library-branch No. 13, a presentation of the project “Film Lab “Right to Memory”, which received support from the Presidential Grants Fund, was held. The project was developed by the Centralized Library System for Children together with the regional public organization «Creative Association» Steps «with the support of the Department of Culture of Sevastopol.
The cinema laboratory «Right to Memory» is a unique project that is designed to preserve and convey the historical memory of Sevastopol through cinematography. The main idea of the project is to show schoolchildren how interesting it is to study the history of their city and their country through the creation of their own films, in which the concepts of duty, honor and patriotism are not just words.
Many civic-patriotic, cultural, educational and creative projects are being implemented in the children’s libraries of Sevastopol. And now, in the children’s library-branch No. 13 «Book World», modernized in 2022 as part of the national project «Culture», classes will be held during which the children will be able to try on the roles of a real cameraman, director, screenwriter and editor. Professionals with many years of experience will share the secrets of filmmaking with children. The project participants will be able to watch the filming of the documentary «Sevastopol in the History of Russia» with their own eyes and get a unique experience.
During practical classes on the basics of film production at the library, the children will learn the basics of creating high-quality films. With the help of a video editor, learn how to work with video and audio materials, process them, correctly use various transitions and effects— says project manager Yuri Zhbankov.
At the presentation of the project, the guys were able to ask their questions, as well as look at the work of graduates of the film laboratory. The work «Sevastopol — history in toponyms» aroused general interest. Its author is Gleb Varlagin, a 10th grade student of the Sevastopol Polytechnic Lyceum, who received a grant from Rosmolodezh.
