The Sevastopol healthcare system is thinking about building trust between patients, their relatives and health workers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of World Patient Safety Day (celebrated on September 17), First Deputy Director of the Department of Health Lyubov Syomina and Deputy Head of the territorial department of Roszdravnazor Yulia Egoreva spoke about building trust between patients, their relatives and medical workers. All budgetary medical institutions in the city are implementing a whole range of measures to ensure the safe provision of medical care.
It is fundamentally important to create a psychologically favorable environment that facilitates the attraction and retention of patients within the framework of specialized medical care programs. Currently, the priority is given to the compliance of the care provided with the existing needs of the patient and his expectations, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Lyubov Semina.
The interaction of the Sevastopol Health Department and its subordinate medical organizations with patients is carried out primarily through personal communication with citizens. Public meetings of the chief doctors of city hospitals with city residents have been organized; hotlines and telegram receptions operate at each medical institution, where patients admitted to emergency departments and their relatives can contact specialists in case of controversial issues. Department specialists conduct daily dialogue on official platforms and social networks.
We have a visiting commission that assesses the quality of medical care provided — this is a huge amount of work. We try to improve its quality, especially in terms of the questions that patients most often ask ussays the deputy director of the department.
Yulia Egoreva spoke about routine inspections in healthcare institutions and focused on the selection of certified medications through commercial pharmacy chains:
The patient has both rights and responsibilities. First of all, we are talking about the fact that he must monitor his health, take care of it, undergo medical examinations and, most importantly, follow the recommendations of doctors. As soon as the “patient-doctor” link works, where the person undergoing treatment follows all the recommendations, we will have good results.
Information about World Patient Safety Day is posted on the website of the World Health Organization, the Russian Ministry of Health, Roszdravnadzor and the Sevastopol Department of Health in the relevant sections.
