Employees of the Sevastopol police conducted an anti-drug raid on city shopping facilities. As specified in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the preventive measure was held as part of the operation «Poppy-2022», an inspection was carried out in order to identify the facts of the sale of goods containing drug propaganda.
Operatives checked 5 retail outlets of souvenirs. Based on the results of the event, a retail sale of hats with the image of hemp leaves was revealed in the city of Inkerman. Due to the fact that these images can evoke associations with drugs and encourage interest in drugs, the sale of such items is illegal.
Products seized by police officers from illegal circulation. The seller is being checked in the manner prescribed by the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation , the press service reports.
During the raid, entrepreneurs and sellers were explained the responsibility for committing an administrative offense under Art. 6. 13 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation «Propaganda or illegal advertising of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, including plants containing narcotic drugs.» Such raids by police officers are carried out regularly in the city.
