The Sevastopol project of the YuGÁ Resort and Recreational Complex is the winner of the competition for the best architectural work
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The project implemented by the investor on the North Side received a diploma at the international festival. At the open review competition «Architecture Days», held as part of YugBuild, the largest exhibition of construction topics and architectural projects in the South of Russia, the jury members noted the authors’ integrated approach in developing the project concept, taking into account world practice in creating premium resort infrastructure facilities, as well as the undeniable contribution of the construction of a resort and recreational complex to the social and economic development of Sevastopol.
For the region, the volume of investments is significant — 15 billion rubles at the first stage. The complex, capable of receiving more than 50,000 tourists per season, will create new jobs and ensure the replenishment of the region’s budget through taxes. It should also be noted that on the north side there are some of the best beaches of Sevastopol with a sandy shore, while this part of the city does not have a tourist infrastructure. YUGÁ will become a new place of attraction with objects of social, cultural, entertainment, domestic and recreational purposes, in free access for tourists and residents of the Hero City— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of economic development of Sevastopol Denis Profatilov.
Such a large-scale construction will favorably affect the economic development of the region and improve its investment attractiveness. Thus, local construction, manufacturing and logistics companies will be involved in the construction of the facility, and the newly created infrastructure will provide an additional tourist flow for service enterprises. Even before construction, the Lyubimovka city sandy beach adjacent to the complex was transformed and landscaped for the 2022 holiday season: sun loungers, pergolas, awnings, a shower room and changing rooms were installed. Waste was cleaned and removed daily. The beach area is accessible to all tourists and local residents.
The development of the concept of the resort and recreational complex was preceded by a large-scale sociocultural study, the participants of which were about 700 residents of Sevastopol.
We managed to develop the concept of the place and form a holistic model of the functioning of the complex, which is based on the methods of socio-cultural programming and the data obtained during in-depth interviews. The project will give new life and a powerful impetus to the development of the northern part of Sevastopol, offering the city and its residents modern infrastructure and popular public leisure spaces— notes the founder of the bureau Citymakers Petr Kudryavtsev, who was the author of the study.
The architectural concept of YUGÁ was developed taking into account world practice in creating world-class resort infrastructure facilities. The developers of the project were specialists from Sevastopol Stroyproekt LLC, the oldest and largest design organization in the region with extensive experience in the implementation of civil, resort and industrial construction projects.
The buildings of the complex are designed in Mediterranean style — with floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious balconies and terraces. It is designed for year-round use.
Landscaping of the territory involves the maximum preservation of the landscape and the natural diversity of the area, while preserving the pine park located on the territory. Public spaces have been worked out in detail for the YUGÁ complex, functional zoning has been carried out, taking into account the needs of future visitors to the complex. It will house playgrounds, walking and cycling paths, yoga grounds and a work-out area for outdoor sports. One of the main achievements of the project is the availability of the infrastructure of the complex for everyone. The tourist cluster will rightfully become one of the main points of attraction for the northern side of the city of Sevastopol.
