The Sevastopol prosecutor's office achieved the restoration of the pension rights of an elderly woman
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Sevastopol City Prosecutor’s Office conducted an investigation into the complaint of an elderly woman who applied for a personal meeting with the Sevastopol City Prosecutor Maxim Zhuk in connection with a violation of her pension rights.
It was established that the pension fund authorities withheld monthly funds from an 88-year-old resident of Sevastopol to return the overpaid pension to her for the period from December 2020 to July 2021. It was confirmed in court that there was no dishonesty of the pensioner when submitting documents for the assignment of a pension. Despite this, collection of debt from her continued on the basis of a decision of the State Institution — Center for Payment of Pensions and Information Processing of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol,” noted the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
In this regard, the city prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit with the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol to declare the decision of the pension fund authorities illegal and return the money to the applicant.
The prosecutor’s claims were satisfied.
The elderly woman was returned the full amount of the collected funds in the amount of almost 100 thousand rubles in a one-time transfer.
