The Sevastopol Prosecutor's Office invites schoolchildren to participate in the regional competition «Legal Brain Ring»

The Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Sevastopol, together with the State Educational Institution of Educational Education Center «Small Academy of Sciences», is holding a regional competition «Legal Brain Ring» among students in grades 9-10 of secondary schools.

The competition is held in two stages:

  • semi-finals among schools in each district;
  • final among the winning schools of the semi-final rounds.

The semi-finals will take place on November 9, 14, 16 and 21 in schools in the Leninsky, Gagarinsky, Nakhimovsky and Balaklava districts.

The date of the final meeting is November 30, 2023.

Participants in the “Legal Brain Ring” competition are teams of 6 people representing schools and gymnasiums of the city. To participate in the competition, a secondary general education institution must register online by filling out an application using the link: https://forms.yandex.ru/u/652e75b984227c0ad59342f2/.

Applications are accepted until November 7, 2023 inclusive.

Only one team from one educational institution can participate. The application must indicate the name of the institution and its team, information about the captain, team members and coach (if any).

All conditions for the competition are set out in the joint order of the prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol and the director of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Central Educational Institution «Minor Academy of Sciences», posted on the official website of the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol. The competition is held by the prosecutor’s office as part of its legal education efforts. Preventing the commission of offenses and crimes among minors is one of the priorities of the prosecutor’s office.

Increasing the legal awareness of students is an important component of instilling standards of law-abiding behavior and improving the legal culture in general.

The purpose of the competition is to increase the level of legal literacy of students, deepen knowledge about the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as identify and support talented schoolchildren.
