The Sevastopol prosecutor's office is dealing with the attraction of funds from citizens under the guise of participation in shared construction in the housing cooperative «Romancero»

In Sevastopol, based on the materials of the prosecutor’s office, a criminal case was initiated on the illegal attraction of funds from citizens under the guise of participation in shared construction in the housing cooperative «Romancero». The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol checked the legality of attracting funds from citizens under the guise of participating in shared construction.

It was established that the housing-construction cooperative «Romancero» as a developer entered into agreements with individuals on conscientious share participation in the construction of a residential apartment building No. 104V on the street. At the same time, in violation of the legislation on shared construction, the funds of citizens under these agreements were transferred to the settlement accounts of another legal entity. Thus, in 2020-2021, the money of shareholders was illegally attracted for a total amount of more than 21 million rubles. The prosecutor’s office of the district sent the materials of the check on this fact to the investigating authority. Based on the results of their consideration, the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 200.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (raising funds from citizens for construction in violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation on participation in shared construction of apartment buildings on an especially large scale)— reported the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.

In addition, it was previously reported that, based on the materials of the prosecutor’s check, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of fraud through double sales of the same premises in the same house under construction. The progress and results of the investigation of both criminal cases are under the control of the prosecutor’s office.
