The Sevastopol prosecutor's office sent a case to court against a man accused of possessing explosive devices

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 37-year-old local resident.
He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and storage of explosive devices). According to investigators, the man illegally purchased an incendiary pipe and a homemade high-explosive fragmentation explosive device with a TNT charge weighing more than 170 g, filled with destructive elements with a total mass of almost 2.9 kg in the form of shot with a diameter of 2.5 mm. The attacker hid these explosive devices at his place of residence in an apartment on the street. Kolobov, where in October 2023 they were seized during operational search activities by FSB officers,” the details of the case were announced by the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The investigation was carried out by the investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The accused is taken into custody.
Currently, the criminal case is being considered by the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol.
