The Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theater will present the premieres of three one-act ballets
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On December 1 and 2, 2023, the Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theater on the stage of the Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky will present the premieres of three one-act ballets: “Waiting Room”, “Pictures at an Exhibition”, “Rachmaninov. In memory.»
The productions involve leading ballet soloists: People’s Artist of Russia, ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater Maria Alexandrova, Honored Artist of Russia, Premier of the Bolshoi Theater Semyon Chudin, laureates of international competitions Ksenia Ryzhkova, Dmitry Sobolevsky, other artists and students of the Sevastopol Academy of Choreography.
We were all very upset by the second gala concert of the ballet, which was disrupted by bad weather in July, and all these months we have been thinking about how we can still compensate our audience and artists for meeting each other. And they decided to make this an even more significant event — to bring three new one-act ballets to Sevastopol, which the audience in Sevastopol will see first in the world! These are three productions, different in spirit, created by our contemporaries — choreographers from two countries: Jonah Cook (Great Britain) and Anton Pimonov (Russia),” said Deputy Director of the Sevastopol Opera and Ballet Theater, People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Uvarov.
The concert starts at 18:30. Tickets can be purchased at the box office and on the theater website.
