The Sevastopol traffic police summed up the results of the “Night City” raid: 12 violators, six of them drunk

On the night from Friday to Saturday, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol conducted a preventive raid “Night City” in order to reduce the level of accidents and ensure public order.

Based on an analysis of accident rates and places where drunk drivers may appear, a distribution of forces and resources was developed, according to which 8 posts were identified, 39 traffic police officers were involved— said the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the “Night City” raid, traffic inspectors compiled 12 administrative materials. Six drivers were identified as driving while intoxicated. This violation is punishable under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and entails administrative punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years, as well as the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 30,000 thousand rubles.

Traffic inspectors also identified one driver who was driving a car without a license to drive a vehicle. Responsibility for this violation is provided for in Part 1 of Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and is punishable by an administrative fine in the amount of 5,000 to 15,000 thousand rubles— specified in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

The State Traffic Inspectorate warns that the “Night City” raid is carried out on a regular basis in places of public recreation, on city highways and in rural settlements.
