The SFR branch in Sevastopol paid a one-time benefit for the birth of a child to 1,858 families

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A one-time benefit for the birth of a child is a one-time support measure that the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund of Russia provides to one of the parents for each newborn child. Guardians, adoptive parents or adoptive parents of a child can also receive funds. Benefit amount from February 1, 2024 it is 24,604.30 rubles.

The benefit is available to all Russian families, and the parents must be citizens of the Russian Federation and reside in Russia. The payment does not depend on income level and is provided to both working and non-working citizens.

A working mother does not need to provide any documents to the Fund Branch — in this case, the benefit is assigned without application. If only the father works, he needs to contact his employer and provide him with the child’s birth certificate. The regional branch of the SFR, after receiving information from the registry office (about the birth of a child), as well as a response from the parent’s place of work (upon request for confirmation of data), will pay the benefit within 10 working days— the press service of the head of the SFR Branch for Sevastopol quotes Elena Gaivoronskaya.

If both parents do not work, then an application for payment can be submitted to any client service of the Social Fund Branch in Sevastopol, to the MFC or through the government services portal. The decision to assign a one-time benefit to a non-working parent is made within 10 working days from the date of registration of the application and receipt of the necessary information by the Financial Markets Department. Funds are transferred within 5 business days after the decision on the payment is made. The period during which you must apply for payment is 6 months from the date of birth of the child.
