The SFR branch in Sevastopol paid more than 2 thousand additional days off to parents of children with disabilities

Last year, the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR paid parents of children with disabilities 2,252 additional days off for a total amount of more than 6.7 million rubles. One of the parents, as well as the guardian or trustee of a child with a disability, can use four additional paid days off in a calendar month to care for a child with a disability. An application for additional days off is submitted to the employer. The days can be taken consecutively or on different dates throughout the month. Each such day off is paid in the amount of the parent’s average earnings.

Since September 1 last year, parents can “save up” additional days off to take them as a one-time leave of up to 24 days and devote it to caring for their children. The schedule of such leave must be agreed upon with the employer., — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the manager of the regional Branch of the Social Fund, Elena Gaivoronskaya.

One of the working parents can take additional days off to care for a child with a disability, regardless of whether the other parent is employed or not. For example, if mom does not work or is on maternity leave, then dad can take four additional paid days off per month. If both parents work, care days can be divided between the parents at their discretion.
