Since the beginning of 2024, the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund has paid for 23,042 cases of temporary disability in the amount of more than 220 million rubles. It should be noted that 99.6% of benefits were issued proactively.
A certificate of incapacity for work, or as it is more often called a “sick leave”, is a document confirming that you are sick or caring for a sick close relative, cannot work and are entitled to temporary disability benefits.
Organizations receive sick leave data digitally, simplifying interactions between patients, doctors and employers. The electronic format provides citizens with constant access to information about their hospital benefits. Information about the status of sick leave and information about payment is sent to the citizen’s personal account on the public services portal, — the press service quotes Elena Gaivoronskaya, manager of the SFR Branch for Sevastopol.
For outpatient treatment, that is, in clinics, information about the opening of a certificate of incapacity for work is sent to the employer immediately. If we are talking about inpatient treatment, then information about sick leave will be received by the employer only when the certificate of incapacity for work is closed. Therefore, in order to correctly fill out the work time sheet, citizens should notify the employer about sick leave.
Let us remind you that the employer pays for the first three days of illness from his own funds, and the subsequent days of illness — by the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund. Payment for sick leave for caring for a sick family member is carried out at the expense of the SFR from the first day. Funds are paid within 10 working days from the moment the fund receives the necessary information. Payment can be received into a bank account or through the post office.
