The SFR branch in Sevastopol paid parents of children with disabilities more than 2.2 thousand additional days off

Since the beginning of 2024, the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund of Russia has paid working parents of children with disabilities 2,257 additional days off in the amount of more than 7 million rubles.

Parents, guardians and trustees are entitled to four additional days off per month to care for children with disabilities. Such days can be used either monthly or accumulated and taken as a one-time vacation of up to 24 days. The schedule for providing these days is agreed upon with the employer. An application for additional days off is submitted to the human resources department at the place of work.

One of the working parents can take additional days off, regardless of whether the other parent is employed or not. If both parents work, then they can divide such weekends at their own discretion. For example, mom can take two days a month, dad can take the remaining two days.

Payment is made in the amount of average earnings. Initially, it is carried out by the employer from his own funds, and then this amount is compensated by the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund.

Please note that additional days off are not provided during regular paid leave, unpaid leave, or parental leave under three years of age. Unused accumulated days are not carried over to another calendar year and no monetary compensation is provided for them.
