The Simferopol Art Museum presents a new exhibition «Aivazovsky's legacy: to the 205th anniversary of the marine painter»

In the Simferopol Art Museum, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Crimea, a new exhibition «Aivazovsky’s Legacy: to the Anniversary of the Marine Painter» was opened.
The exposition presents a number of works by Ivan Aivazovsky, his students and representatives of Russian landscape painting of the second half of the 19th century from the museum’s collection. The life and creative path of the famous artist began in the Crimea, and all recognizable bright paintings were created here. From the funds of the museum are presented works, including 6 canvases by the master himself , — the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea reports.
It is emphasized that the exhibition is dedicated not only to the master of marine painting, but also to a whole galaxy of marine painters, and, undoubtedly, will be of interest to young people who can purchase tickets for the All-Russian project «Pushkin Map».
Museum Director Olga Burova spoke about future exhibition projects and plans, including those dedicated to the anniversary of the institution. As part of the event, a thematic tour of the exhibition was held and musical compositions performed by the Chamber Orchestra of the Crimean State Philharmonic were performed.
