The Simferopol district police invites citizens to join the voluntary people's squad

The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Simferopol region invites all citizens who are not indifferent to security, order and peace in our region to participate in the protection of public order in our region as part of a voluntary people’s squad.
Employees of the voluntary people’s squad patrol the streets together with police officers, participate in ensuring law and order during public events, and also assist the police in carrying out operational, preventive and search activities.
Citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of eighteen and who, based on their business and personal qualities, are capable of performing the duties of people’s guards are accepted into the people’s squad on a voluntary basis.
Employees of the voluntary people’s squad and other citizens who actively take part in ensuring the protection of public order, as well as those who have distinguished themselves in the prevention and detection of crimes and the identification of offenses, can receive material incentives and benefits provided for by the Federal Law of April 2, 2014 No. 44-FZ “On Participation citizens in maintaining public order.»
Citizens cannot be admitted to people’s squads:
- having an unexpunged or outstanding criminal record;
- against whom criminal prosecution is carried out;
- previously convicted of intentional crimes;
- included in the list of organizations and individuals in respect of which there is information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism, in accordance with Federal Law of August 7, 2001 N 115-FZ “On combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, and financing of terrorism»;
- in respect of whom a court decision that has entered into legal force has established that their actions contain signs of extremist activity;
- those suffering from mental disorders, drug addiction or alcoholism;
- recognized as incompetent or partially capable by a court decision that has entered into legal force;
- repeatedly subjected to administrative punishment in court for administrative offenses committed during the year preceding the day of admission to the people’s squad;
- having citizenship (nationality) of a foreign state.
