The sixth festival of information technologies was launched in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The leitmotif of the ITPARK FEST 2024.RUS season is “from import substitution to export substitution.” Many tracks are devoted not only to the issues of creating a product that can replace a foreign one, but also to bringing it to the international level.
The development of the IT sector remains a priority for Sevastopol. Our region is attractive for specialists — this can be seen in the budget. Last year, the IT industry alone brought 800 million in tax revenues to the city treasury. I’m sure this is not the limit. The Technopark itself is also growing and evolving. The familiar building on Rudneva, 41, known as “Cologne”, has found a new life and has become a home for the IT community. Now the second stage of the technology park with 4,000 jobs is being prepared for launch, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
This year there are two new tracks at the festival:
- presentation of startups of young and promising IT projects in the field of advanced technologies — here novice specialists can learn how to develop their project, find their investor and ensure wide application;
- special track “Digital Vineyards” — here the agricultural industry was combined with the IT direction.
I believe that the Crimean peninsula is ideal for the Russian IT industry. With the creation of IT PARK RUS in Sevastopol, we ensured the development of the region’s IT cluster and attracted additional investments and assets to it. In addition, such a point of attraction as the Technopark creates new jobs, motivates highly qualified specialists to relocate to the Crimean Peninsula, and contributes to the development of educational institutions in the city. I thank the Government of Sevastopol and the governor personally for supporting our Technopark and Festival,” notes the founder of ITG and IT PARK RUS Dmitry Gachko.
