The slope on the street of the heroes of Sevastopol «packed» in the net

On the Street of the Heroes of Sevastopol, work is underway to protect the rocky-obsolete section from the collapse in order to protect the road traffic. Protective measures provide for a set of works aimed at eliminating the erosion of the slope. The contractor began work at the end of January. During this time, shrubs and shoots were removed from the slope, arranged a temporary stone -based barrier, installed holding anchors with a stretch of contour ropes.

To date, most of the work has already been completed. All 264 anchor piles are installed. Through them, an injection of the slope was carried out by a special solution, which filled the karst voids and fixed the piles. Now work is underway to arrange a geosynthetic canvas and a protective mesh coating that will hold the slope. Upon completion of these works, hydroposeus will be performed on top of the mesh coating — this method allows you to evenly distribute the seeds throughout the area, which ensures their rapidly and uniform germination,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol, director of the State Physics and Technology Directorate for the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of Sevastopol, Vladimir Davydchenko.

In addition, the retaining wall is being repaired with the provision of the drainage system. Under the contract, the deadline for completion of work is the end of the year. However, the contractor seeks to complete the work earlier. To date, construction readiness is 63%.

Recall that the work on protecting the rock and general section began after due to heavy rainfall in 2024 on the site of the Street of the Heroes of Sevastopol “Red” soil for the roadway.
