The Social Fund is accepting applications for the extension of the single benefit in 2024

CrimeaPRESS reports:

According to the current rules, a single benefit is assigned for 12 months, after which the payment stops. To extend the benefit payment for another year, you need to re-submit an application to the Social Fund. This can be done in advance — within a month before the end of the payment period.

For the very first recipients of the benefit, to whom it was issued in January 2023, this deadline came in December 2023. Those who received approval for payment of benefits in February, March and later need to apply no earlier than a month before the end of payments. If parents do not have time to renew benefits in advance to continuously receive funds, they will be able to apply later. If approved, payment will be provided from the month of application submission.— reported the SFR.

When extending the benefit, as with the initial assignment, the Social Fund will check the family’s income and assets to determine its need for social support. For most recipients, such verification will go unnoticed, since the fund will independently verify the necessary information.

The Social Fund reviews a submitted application for benefits within 10 working days. If the extension is successful, parents will receive payments within their usual time frame, in which the funds arrived before. When deposited non-cash into a bank account, the payment will be received on the 3rd of the previous month, when delivered by mail — from the 1st to the 25th of the previous month. You can apply for a single benefit on the government services portal, at the MFC or at any client service of the Social Fundnoted the SFR.

Let us recall that a single benefit was introduced in Russia in 2023. It replaced several previously existing payments for children and pregnant women. Families with incomes less than the subsistence minimum per person are eligible for the payment. To ensure that the funds are received by those who really need them, an assessment of the family’s income and property is used during registration. The size of the benefit depends on your income. It is 50%, 75% or 100% of the regional subsistence level for a child or able-bodied adult, depending on the basis on which the benefit is established.
