The Special Humanitarian Center of the Crimean Metropolis sent 26 tons of humanitarian aid to the Kherson region
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This week, the Special Humanitarian Center of the Crimean Metropolis sent eight special humanitarian aid vehicles with a total weight of 13 tons to the residents of the Kherson region affected by the explosion of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. Today, June 12 — another 13 tons.
Food and essential items have been delivered to temporary accommodation centers (TAPs), where more than two thousand people are staying.
In the flooded Aleshki, a humanitarian mission on a boat specially brought from Crimea, purchased by the Special Humanitarian Center, handed over drinking water to people remaining in the disaster zone, and evacuated several animals — a dog with puppies and an emaciated Alabai, fleeing from the water on the roof of a barn.
There is a lot of work ahead. Participants of the gumconvoy led by Archpriest Dmitry Krotkov will have to transfer assistance to another TAP.
Also “in reserve” the Crimeans (had to linger in the disaster zone) had two days of work on a boat in the area of Alyosheki and Gola Pristan.
Help is needed not only for people, but also for animals.
