The stage of the All-Russian competition for the practical development of social skills “Team of the First” has started at KFU
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean Federal University acted as a platform for the implementation of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition for the practical development of social skills “Team of the First”.
I am always glad when young people of all ages come to us, because it is natural when there are young people within the walls of a university. I know that you were one of the first to start this movement. I would like to note that our university is the first university in the Russian Federation in which the primary branch of the All-Russian social-state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” was opened. Our students also became the first mentors for schoolchildren of the “First Movement” in schools. I am convinced that you have a wonderful future, and I sincerely wish to become not just the first in name, but also the leaders of all youth movements, unite them in Crimea and move on as a single new most progressive youth movement in our country– the press service of the university quotes the acting rector of the Crimean Federal University, Vladimir Kuryanov.
Opening the regional stage of the championship, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of the Crimean Federal University Sergei Elkin conveyed words of greetings and support to the participants from the Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Social-State Movement of Children and Youth Grigory Gurov:
The competition for the practical development of social skills “Team of the First” at the Crimean Federal University will help each participant to reveal their organizational potential, find themselves in project activities, and realize themselves as a leader of positive changes in the youth environment. Combining the initiatives of the competition participants and the experience of the university community is an excellent opportunity to build promising career guidance and project interaction.
Over the course of two days, young people from 15 colleges in Crimea will develop soft skills through secondary vocational education programs. As part of the competition, they will complete practical tasks where each will be given the opportunity to demonstrate the degree of development of their soft skills in five competencies: creativity, emotional intelligence, teamwork, public speaking and communication skills.
Professional skills are important. Even if you are an expert in your field, but you do not know how to work in a team or build successful communication with people, this reduces your competitiveness. Accordingly, social skills are an integral part of a person, which also need constant development.— emphasizes the regional specialist of the “Movement of the First” Milana Ogneva.
The first stage will divide participants into teams based on competencies. Each group is assigned an expert who presents one of the soft skills, helps participants master it, and prepares the teams for the second stage.
As their first task, the guys will have to introduce their team to other participants without naming them. This is how we test creative thinking. Not only eloquence skills will be “pumped up” here, the children will learn to speak so that they are listened to. As a competitive task for the second stage, they will have to teach a lesson for students in grades 8-9, where they must be able to both maintain attention and correctly convey informationsays the curator of public speaking at the “Team of the First” competition for the practical development of social skills, Marina Eugina.
The competition is held by the regional branch of the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” of the Republic of Crimea.
I would like to wish all participants to go to the limit of their capabilities and take another step forward. Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Social-State Movement of Children and Youth Grigory Gurov, Acting Rector of the Crimean Federal University Vladimir Kuryanov — leaders who have received such high trust and management positions due to the fact that by their personal example they show how to go to the limit of their capabilities and lead behind the teams. I assume that each of the guys has professional knowledge of their level. At the same time, to become the first, social skills are also important.,” notes Sergei Elkin, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy at the Crimean Federal University.
Let us recall that the Crimean Federal University became one of the first universities in Crimea and Russia to create and open the primary branch of the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First”.
