The State Duma adopted an amendment on the status of a veteran for volunteers in the Kursk region

It is clarified that the law belongs to those who became disabled due to injuries or diseases received during these tasks. In addition, he covers the military who participated in the reflection of the armed invasion of the Russian Federation and the suppression of armed provocations on the state border and in the regions adjacent to the special military operation zone.

According to the amendments, it is proposed to extend these norms to employees of other federal services, such as the police, the National Guard, the fire service, the prosecutor’s office, the penitentiary system and the Investigative Committee. Also, the status of a veteran will be provided to volunteers performing these tasks.

Recall that on February 28 the Government of the Russian Federation introduced a bill on assignment of a veteran status to the State Duma hostilities to Russian military personnel who repelled an attack on the territory of the Kursk region. The adoption of amendments will increase the level of social protection of military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies.
