In 2025, the amount of maternity capital for the first-born child may be increased to 646 thousand rubles, Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy, told RIA Real Estate. The amount of the subsidy for the second child will increase to 854 thousand rubles.
Let us remind you that from February 1, 2024, the amount of maternity capital at the birth of the first child is 631 thousand rubles, the subsidy for the second child is 833 thousand rubles. In 2025, 694.2 billion rubles have been allocated for the payment of maternity capital, Stenyakina said.
Let us remind you that the maternity capital program has been in effect since 2007. Subsidy funds can be used to improve housing conditions, rehabilitation of children with disabilities, the funded part of the mother’s pension, and education of children.
