In order to strengthen preventive work to reduce the accident rate and prevent road accidents involving pedestrians, from March 20 to 31, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea carried out a set of preventive measures “Pedestrian. Crosswalk!».
During the period of this operation, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, together with employees of other police units (precinct commissioners, juvenile affairs, patrol service) carried out more than 280 information and propaganda events.
More than 10 thousand preventive conversations were conducted in crowded places with various categories of road users (pedestrians, drivers, public transport passengers), educational organizations were visited to conduct educational events with studentssaid the traffic police.
In addition, in all municipalities of Crimea, meetings were held with the driver staff of enterprises related to passenger transportation. Promotional events were also carried out at bus stations and bus stations. The issue of distributing thematic leaflets and leaflets at points of sale of bus tickets has been worked out. More than 15 thousand copies of thematic leaflets and leaflets were distributed.
Along with explanatory work, work was carried out to bring violators to administrative responsibility. Suppression of violations is carried out in particular in the most hazardous places.
During the period of the operation, more than two and a half thousand pedestrians, as well as more than 800 drivers, were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules for passing pedestrian crossingsemphasized the traffic police.
