The State Traffic Inspectorate of Evpatoria thanks citizens who inform the police about drunk drivers

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The night before, the duty station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Evpatoria received a message that in the area of the Tereshkova Embankment, the driver of a SsangYong car was possibly driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

Eyewitnesses also reported that the driver of the car entered the pedestrian park area through the restrictive spheres, one of which remained under the bottom. Thus, the tiles along the entire path of the car along the pedestrian path were damaged. The message was immediately transmitted to the road patrol officers, who stopped the car and removed the driver from driving the vehicle. As a result of the examination procedure for intoxication on the spot using the Alkotektor-M device, it showed 0.89 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, which exceeds the permissible limit by more than 5 times,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

Administrative protocols have been drawn up in relation to the driver:

  • according to Part 1 of Art. 12.8 Code of Administrative Offenses (Driving a vehicle by a driver who is intoxicated);
  • Part 2 Art. 12.15 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Violation of the rules for positioning a vehicle on the roadway, oncoming traffic or overtaking).

The vehicle was seized and placed in a specialized parking lot.

Damage to city property in the form of damage to tiles amounted to more than 340 thousand rubles, which the driver undertook to compensate.
