The State Traffic Inspectorate of Kerch informs about the operation “Drunk Driver”

In order to strengthen preventive work to reduce the level of accidents, prevent road accidents, and suppress violations of traffic rules that directly affect the commission of car accidents with serious consequences, an operational and preventive event “Drunk Driver” will be held in Kerch from January 12 to 14.
When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors will use the so-called “mass inspection” method, namely, on a specific section of the road, over a certain period of time, the maximum number of drivers will be checked. This form of implementation will be used on several streets of the city.— reported the traffic police.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Kerch reminds drivers that for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for the driver’s failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
