The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol summed up the results of the “Night City” raid

Over the weekend, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol conducted a preventive raid “Night City”, aimed at stabilizing the situation with accidents, ensuring public order on the streets and in other crowded places, suppressing and solving crimes.
For the most effective work on the prevention and suppression of violations related to the driving of vehicles by drivers in a state of intoxication, as well as based on an analysis of accident rates and places where drunk drivers may appear, a distribution of forces and means was developed, according to which 8 routes were identified, 48 were involved employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate departments— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
During the “Night City” raid, traffic inspectors compiled 58 materials, including one driver who was detained for repeated driving while intoxicated, for which criminal liability is provided under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Four more drivers refused to undergo a medical examination; now they face a fine of 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of one and a half to two years.
Also, during the raid, an administrative document was drawn up against one driver for failure to comply with the requirements of road signs or road markings prohibiting stopping or parking of vehicles. This offense is punishable by a fine of 1,500 rubles and the detention of the vehicle.
In addition, one driver was brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle that was not registered in the prescribed manner, and another was driving a faulty car.
Traffic inspectors also identified a driver who violated the rules for transporting children in a car, for which a fine of 3,000 rubles is provided. Four vehicles were evacuated from the Kornilov embankment to a specialized site.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol warns that the “Night City” preventive raid is regular and is carried out in places of public recreation, on city highways and in rural settlements.
