The State Traffic Inspectorate of Simferopol summed up the results of the preventive event “Pedestrian! Crosswalk!»

In order to reduce the accident rate and prevent road accidents involving pedestrians, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Simferopol conducted the preventive event “Pedestrian! Crosswalk!».
Every day, traffic police inspectors served in emergency areas, as well as busy intersections and pedestrian crossings. In addition to suppressing administrative offenses, employees conducted preventive conversations with road users. Particular attention was paid to pedestrians’ compliance with the rules for safe crossing of the roadway, the use of retroreflective elements, and drivers’ compliance with speed limits, traffic light requirements, road signs and markings in pedestrian traffic areas— reported the State Traffic Inspectorate.
In just 3 days, 305 violations of traffic rules were suppressed, of which 234 were by pedestrians and 71 by drivers who did not comply with the rules for passing pedestrian crossings.
